How Do I Cite My Sources?

Most of Newton North High School uses the MLA 7 form of citation.

Citations come in two forms:

Parenthetical Citations: Unless your teacher instructs you otherwise, in the body of your paper or letter you need to add a brief citation in parentheses when quoting or using ideas from sources. See "Choosing When to Give Credit" on this page.

Bibliography or "Works Cited": Your bibliography will include the full citation in the specified form. See "Format for Citing Your Sources".
